Hi Ian,

This is a letter to say thank you, and to let you know that the stay I had at University Bed & Breakfast was on par with some of my stays with the best hotels in North America and Europe. Does that sound outrageous?

I arrived in Montreal having made no more reservations at University B&B than a message on the voicemail and an email. My confirmation was with an email, including simple easy-to-follow instructions for my check-in.

I was met by Ginette, who welcomed me with friendliness and warmth, and set the tone for the rest of my stay. She gave me instructions, keys for the doors, and I went upstairs. Immediately, I returned downstairs to her. There must be some mistake, I explained, my room is an apartment! She laughed, and said, no, indeed that was the room. So I went back upstairs and settled into the large, spacious, well-equipped apartment that had so much character and comfortability I felt as if I were at home!

From the affordability and excellent location of your B&B, to the convenience of the laundry machines downstairs and the security of the good neighborhood itself (important for a first-time visitor!), I was constantly-pleasantly-surprised during my entire week-long stay. As I travel extensively, and plan on moving back and forth from Montreal for years to come, I hope I have the opportunity to visit University Bed & Breakfast again and again. In the meantime, I heartily recommend it to anyone considering visiting Quebec. You, Ginette, and University Bed & Breakfast made my first time in Montreal a winner.
